Use of stronger cryptographic keys in Java

As of Java 8 update 151 onwards strength cryptographic keys are included.
For this, MM3-WebAssistant - Proxy Offline BrowserMM3-WebAssistant version 2017/431 or later must be used.

Some web pages use longer cryptographic key, than in the normally delivered version.

Download: Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files for JDK/JRE 8

Decompress the ZIP archive

Copy with administration rights both jar files:
  • US_export_policy.jar
  • local_policy.jar
To the program directory of Java:
  • jre/lib/security/

These jar-files will be already there so you have to overwrite them

Start the MM3-WebAssistant - Proxy Offline BrowserMM3-WebAssistant afterwards once more.

If you use Java of another manufacturer, its policy files are to be used.
