  1. Switch on the proxy of your system settings: For LAN and Dial-up enter the protocol types HTTP and FTP the address 127.0.0.1 and port 8080.
  2. Check the configuration: http://127.0.0.1:8080/​proxyConfiguration

Note

The following configuration should be executed only by an expert.
We recommend to use the browser Firefox for other users.

Offline Configuration

For the configuration you open the dialog Network in the System Preferences.

  • 1 At Show you select Network Status

    You need an LAN network component, e.g. local network, hub, switch, router, DSL modem, cable modem, AirPort (WLAN).
    Note

    At first if such a component isn't available, this has to be created.
    If this isn't possible, please use another browser e.g. Firefox.

  • 2 Select a LAN network component
  • 3 Click on Configure...

  • 4 Select tab TCP/IP
    Note

    At first if the lock symbol is closed, you must open the lock. You need administrator rights for the configuration.

  • If Off is selected in Configure IPv4
    5 than switch to Manuelly
    and enter:
    IP Adress: 127.0.0.1
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

  • 6 Select tab Proxies
  • 7 Enable the proxies FTP as well as HTTP after each other and enter respectively for the proxy server 8: 127.0.0.1:8080
  • 5 Please, enter: Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts: 127.0.0.1

Online Konfiguration

You duplicate the configuration of your dialing connection at the best one. (For this at Show select the Network Port Configurations.) When connecting to internet you can select, whether you would like to surf with the WebAssistant or without this.

  • 1 At Show select the Dial-up network component
  • 2 Select tab Proxies
    Note

    At first if the lock symbol is closed, you must open the lock. You need administrator rights for the configuration.

  • 3 Enable the proxies FTP as well as HTTP after each other and enter respectively for the proxy server 4: 127.0.0.1:80800
    Note

    If entries are already available here then you transfer these in the WebAssistant from Surf Set/Protocol/Proxy.

  • 5 Please, enter: Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts: 127.0.0.1
  • 6 Click on: Apply Now

Disable the Proxy

You simply would like to switch between the direct connection and the connection with the WebAssistant, you set up two locations following the description.

If there isn't a LAN connection to other computers, you can also set up two Internet connects and select the required connection respectively.
